Iraqi Prime Minister Reaffirms Coalition Withdrawal Deadline

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Iraqi Prime Minister Ali Al-Zaydi emphasized today that Iraqis will complete the process of reclaiming their sovereignty on the scheduled withdrawal date of international coalition forces on September 30. He added that Iraq should not be a platform for harming others, stating that the government pledged from its inception to work towards building Iraq and asserting its sovereignty. Al-Zaydi outlined the government’s clear plan for construction, reform, and combating corruption.

The Prime Minister expressed his gratitude to the religious authorities and institutions in Iraq for emphasizing the necessity of protecting national security and adhering to internal peace. He noted that the region has endured decades of continuous tensions, leading to divisions in the perspectives of governing systems in Arab and Islamic countries.

Al-Zaydi previously stated that the Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF) are a focus of the Iraqi government. He indicated that the country is now entering a reconstruction phase following the successful defense of its sovereignty. He concluded by affirming that the government will proceed with approving the PMF law, integrating it into the structure of Iraq’s armed forces.
