US Ambassador to Turkey Recalled Amid Controversial Golan Heights Remarks

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, journalist and activist Laura Loomer, who is close to Donald Trump, claimed that U.S. Ambassador to Turkey Tom Barrack was called to Washington in recent days for a series of consultations. This action reportedly followed Barrack’s controversial remarks concerning Israel’s occupation of Syria’s Golan Heights, statements that could have potentially ignited an international crisis and conflict between Turkey, Syria, and Tel Aviv.

Loomer, citing a source within the U.S. State Department, reported that Washington is strongly seeking Barrack’s removal, to the extent that a moving company might be utilized for his belongings, suggesting he may not return to Turkey. Barrack, who is also considered the U.S. envoy to Syria, admitted on Friday that the Golan Heights remain under Israeli occupation and that this action contravenes international resolutions, as the territory rightfully belongs to Syria.

Following a wave of anger within American and Zionist circles, Barrack later claimed his intention was to describe a historical situation rather than endorse it.
