North Korea Vows to Bolster Nuclear Power Amidst US Drills in Asia-Pacific

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, North Korea‘s determination to strengthen its nuclear arsenal is directly linked to perceived threats and ongoing US-led military exercises in the Asia-Pacific. Kim Yo Jong, the influential sister of North Korean leader Kim Jong Un, articulated this stance, asserting that Pyongyang will not falter in its pursuit of nuclear power enhancement.
She characterized the naval drills, spearheaded by the United States, as a “war game” orchestrated by Washington to incite conflict within the region. Kim Yo Jong further elaborated that these exercises are part of a broader American strategy to expand its military influence, conducted in collaboration with South Korea and Japan.
The Korean People’s Army, she emphasized, is committed to leveraging all available means to safeguard the nation’s security interests. This declaration underscores North Korea’s consistent policy of responding to perceived provocations with a focus on bolstering its military deterrence, particularly its nuclear capabilities.
