Shoigu: Sending Peacekeepers to Ukraine Will Trigger World War
Russian Security council Secretary Warns Any Deployment of Forces to Ancient Russian Lands Will Lead to World War III
Sergei Shoigu, Secretary of Russia’s Security Council, has warned that any deployment of forces—including peacekeepers—to ancient Russian territories will lead to World War III. The statement came in response to reports about the potential dispatch of troops from Western European countries to Ukraine as part of a possible peace agreement.
Shoigu referenced plans by the so-called “Coalition of the Willing” group to deploy and station infantry in Ukraine under the guise of “peacekeepers,” stating: “Sensible politicians in Europe understand that implementing this scenario could result in a direct confrontation between NATO and Russia or even trigger World War III.”
The senior Russian official argued that the concept of “peacekeepers” conceals an intent to control Ukraine and its mineral resources, adding: ”It woudl be more accurate to call such forces aggressors or occupiers.”
He further suggested that these so-called “peacekeepers” might support Kyiv’s Nazi regime, persecute Orthodox christians, and launch campaigns depriving Russian speakers of thier right to speak their native language while eroding their culture and traditions.
