Russia Warns of Retaliation Over US Missile Deployment in Japan

Moscow has declared that the deployment of American Typhoon missiles in Japan, even for training purposes, is unacceptable and poses a threat to Russian security, vowing to take reciprocal measures.
According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova announced that the stationing of American Typhoon missiles in Japan, regardless of whether it is for exercise purposes, is unacceptable to Moscow and is considered a threat to Russia’s security. She added that Russia urges Japan to revert to its policy of peace and non-aggression. In the event of the deployment of these weapons, Moscow will implement reciprocal measures. The Japan Times previously reported that the US Army had dispatched the Typhoon medium-range missile system to the Kagoshima region for joint exercises with Japanese forces.
