Strait of Hormuz Shipping Traffic Remains Low Amid Tensions

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, maritime data indicates a substantial decline in shipping activity within the Strait of Hormuz over the past day. Reports from maritime sources reveal that only four vessels transited into the strait, with a single ship departing. This comes as the average daily number of cargo ships passing through the strait typically stands at five, and averaged 14 ships over the preceding ten-day period.

Kepler, a maritime analytics company, further reported that recent traffic in the Strait of Hormuz has been limited to smaller vessels carrying liquefied gas. The disruption in the movement of ships through this vital global waterway is attributed to tensions and actions by the United States against Iran.
