Protester Drenches Israeli Stand with Red Liquid at Swedish Book Fair

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, a man staged a protest at the Swedish-Israeli Friendship Association’s booth during the Gothenburg Book Fair, expressing his outrage over the actions of the Israeli regime by pouring a red liquid, symbolizing innocent blood, onto the flag of the Zionist regime. The individual, after pouring the red liquid, shouted, “Israel is committing genocide. We must stop the genocide in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank. This is a peaceful protest in support of all the children that Israel is killing. They are criminals.”

Security forces present at the fair approached the protester and detained him.

This action occurred amidst ongoing criticism in Sweden against the Israeli regime’s war in the Gaza Strip and the genocide of Palestinians. The Swedish government emphasized in March that the humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip is catastrophic. In May 2025, the ambassador of the Zionist regime was summoned to the country’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
