Four Killed in Cuban Military Incident After US-Flagged Boat Opens Fire

The Cuban Ministry of the Interior announced that four individuals died after a boat flying the American flag entered Cuban territorial waters and initiated gunfire, prompting a defensive response from Cuban forces.
According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, the Cuban Ministry of the Interior issued a statement declaring that a vessel flying an American flag trespassed into Cuban territorial waters and commenced firing. The statement indicated that Cuban defense forces responded to this hostile act and in defense of national sovereignty, returned fire towards the aforementioned boat. Consequently, four occupants of the boat were killed during the exchange.
The Ministry of the Interior emphasized that the incident occurred after a violation of the country’s maritime sovereignty and following the discharge of weapons by the attacking boat. As of this report, U.S. officials have not yet issued a statement regarding the event.
