Israeli Intelligence Admits Iran’s Resilience Exceeds Expectations; Former IDF General Warns of Despair

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, senior intelligence officials from the occupying regime have conceded that the stability and resilience of the Islamic Republic of Iran have surpassed their institutions’ prior assessments.
The Israeli publication ‘Israel Hayom’ reported that these estimates indicate the Iranian system maintains significant control despite internal unrest and foreign military actions.
Yair Golan, former Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Israeli Army and head of the Democratic Party, acknowledged Iran as a “tough and invincible opponent” capable of withstanding prolonged pressure and conflict. This admission coincided with his warning that the Israeli regime is approaching a “stage of despair” in its ongoing warfare.
The Israeli newspaper ‘Maariv’ reported that Golan, in an interview with Radio 103 FM, cautioned about the future of the war, admitting Israel’s inability to counter Iran’s power and endurance, stating that the regime is nearing a “stage of despair.”
The leader of the Israeli ‘Democrats’ party pointed to escalating tensions following aggression by the United States and the Israeli regime, emphasizing, “We have been engaged in war for two and a half years, and none of the fronts, from Gaza and Lebanon to Iran, are on the verge of closing. This situation is extremely dangerous for Israel.”
He asserted that achieving any breakthrough takes “days, even weeks,” and stressed that with Netanyahu in place, Israel is on the brink of entering a stage of despair.
The former military official acknowledged that “no country can be defeated by fire alone,” a reality he stated applies fully to Iran.
Golan directly referenced Iran’s defensive capabilities and endurance, saying, “The Iranians are a tough opponent who endured eight years of war with Iraq without surrendering. We must be realistic.”
