Pakistan, Iran Foreign Ministers Discuss Regional Developments Amid Ceasefire Concerns

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, the Pakistani Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a statement on Monday, reporting that Foreign Minister Muhammad Ishaq Dar engaged in discussions with his Iranian counterpart, Sayyid Abbas Araghchi, regarding the ongoing regional situation during a phone conversation. The statement cited Al Jazeera and Mehr News Agency as sources for the information.
In the statement released by the Pakistani Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Araghchi expressed his concerns over recent developments, specifically mentioning alleged violations of the ceasefire by Israel in Lebanon and the potential for an attack on Beirut. In response, Pakistan’s Foreign Minister emphasized the importance of ensuring the continuation of the ceasefire to prevent the collapse of existing understandings.
Earlier, Sayyid Abbas Araghchi had stated on social media that the ceasefire between Iran and the United States should be considered an unequivocal ceasefire across all fronts, including Lebanon. He further asserted that any violation of this ceasefire on any front would be interpreted as a violation across all fronts, holding the United States and Israel responsible for the consequences of any such breach.
